The oil spill in the Gulf is a failure of corporate responsibility, and the American people deserve honesty—not excuses.

As president, I will immediately require full transparency from Exxon and all responsible parties. Every fact, every impact, and every decision must be public. Corporations that profit from our natural resources must also be held fully accountable when they damage them.

My administration will prioritize the people affected first—fishermen, coastal families, workers, and local businesses whose livelihoods are at risk. Emergency federal aid will be deployed to support recovery, protect jobs, and restore communities.

I will push for strict environmental enforcement, ensuring Exxon pays for cleanup in full—not taxpayers—and faces consequences if negligence is proven. This crisis proves why America must invest in safer energy practices and stronger oversight, so disasters like this do not happen again.

Leadership means standing with the people, telling the truth, and fixing what’s broken. That is exactly what I will do.
